Good Changes Are Coming to the IT Portal
The IT Portal is implementing a revised development approach to enhance stability. Previously, weekly releases containing bug fixes and new features occasionally caused issues for partners. The new model includes:
Bug Fix Releases
- Deployed every two weeks
- First release (4.0.1) launches April 16th for On-Premises installations
- Cloud environments receive updates the following week
Critical Hotfixes
- Tested and deployed to cloud systems immediately
- Made available for on-premise users as needed
Feature Releases
- Scheduled quarterly instead of weekly
- Version 4.13 details available at the product roadmap
Quality Assurance Improvements
The QA team will now:
- Thoroughly re-review all changes
- Validate IT Portal navigation before release
- Implement automated testing in the build pipeline
User Experience Enhancements
By July, users will be able to send us errors from within the interface without opening support tickets, streamlining the feedback process.
This structural change reflects the platform's growth and the need for more controlled, stable deployment cycles while maintaining rapid response to critical issues.
